Description of Book: Kevin Pendergrass graduated from the East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions in 2008 (now known as the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies). After graduating, he spent over six years in Oklahoma working as a full-time minister, evangelist, formal debater, and co-host for The Gospel of Christ international television and radio program.
During his earlier years, Kevin unintentionally held to some very legalistic approaches to Scripture and Christianity. Through continual study, humbling experiences, and honest reflection, he came to understand more fully his own shortcomings and his desperate need for the grace of God. He discovered that legalism is a spiritual poison that can be found anywhere, at any time, and in any person. No Christian or church affiliation is immune to its dangers. Unlike identifying a certain teaching, legalism is different because it is an approach and a mindset.
In A Different Kind of Poison: How Legalism Destroys Grace, you will join Kevin on his journey as he discovers how to approach Christianity the way God intended
